Dr. Procci was trained as a psychiatrist in consultation/liaison psychiatry and worked both in that specialty and in psychiatric education, as he was Training Director for adult psychiatry at Harbor.  He has spent his career immersed in the study and teaching of psychoanalysis and currently serves at the President of the American Psychoanalytic Association.  He has interests in the administrative aspects of psychoanalytic teaching and practice and in bringing psychodynamic concepts in the teaching of psychiatric residents.
